Occidental Mindoro State College
OCCIDENTAL MINDORO STATE COLLEGE was established in 1966 as a Barrio High School, chartered as Occidental Mindoro National College on June 24, 1983, by virtue of Batas Pambansa Bilang 531, renamed as Occidental Mindoro State College on July 27, 2009, by virtue of Republic Act 9747, and finally, upon the recommendation of the Commission on Higher Education, OMSC shall be converted into Occidental Mindoro State University, by virtue of Republic Act 11587.
Lyceum of the Philippines University
Lyceum of the Philippines University was founded by Philippine President Jose P. Laurel in the 1950s as a center of academic excellence in the Philippines and the Far East, with the motto "Veritas et Fortitudo" (truth and fortitude) and "Pro Deo et Patria" (for God and Country). With his admiration for knowledge and his appreciation of classical thought, Dr. Laurel named the school after Lykeios, the site in ancient Athens.
University of the Philippines System
The University of the Philippines (UP) was founded through Act No. 1870 of the Philippine Assembly. UP was the result of the recommendation of Secretary of Public Instruction, William Morgan Shuster to the Philippine Commission, the upper house of the Philippine Assembly. It was meant to fill the need to meet the increasing demands for instruction in the higher levels of learning and to provide professional studies in medicine, law, engineering or applied sciences
Pangasinan State University
The Pangasinan State University was chartered through the issuance of Presidential Decree No. 1497, promulgated on June 11, 1978 and became operational on July 1, 1979. The University integrated the collegiate courses of five DECS-supervised institutions in the province and all the programs of the then Central Luzon Teachers College (CLTC) and Western Pangasinan College of Agriculture (WPCA).
